OISCA trainees completed their courses around the end of the 2006 fiscal year. Certificate award ceremonies were held in honor of the graduating trainees at training centers in Japan . On March 22, 2007 seventeen trainees from the Philippines who participated in training in Okinawa prefecture received their certificates at JA Kaikan in Naha city. This training was partly subsidized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to allow trainees to gain knowledge on growing sugar canes, vegetables, operating and maintaining tractors. At Kansai training center, two trainees who participated in their training in ironworks, and three trainees who participated in agricultural training course cerebrated their graduation in March 30 th and May 4 th respectively. On April 21, Mr. Gedara Ranaweera, one of eight trainees who finished their training courses at Chubu Nippon Training Center made a speech saying, “I would like to leverage the techniques on growing potted plants to promote the Children's Forest Program in my homes” at his graduation ceremony. After their graduation ceremony, the trainees returned to their home countries, determined to use what they have acquired through their one year training courses with profound memories in their hearts. |
