OISCA Eco-Tech Training Center,Rabaul,Papua New guinea Certified by the Government, Technologies Expected to Spread Further.
On February 12th, OISCA Eco-Tech Training Center, Rabaul, was certified as rice cultivation training center by the department of agriculture and livestock, Papua New Guinea. The reasons for certification are the center’s contributions to the spread of rice cultivation and accommodating rice cultivation trainee in courses supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and other official agencies. After this certification, OISCA may be requested to accommodate trainees from all over the country. From 18th to 25th of February, Mr. Takahiro Yamamoto, JICA Shikoku Office, and Mr. Yuzo Takasaka from OISCA Shikoku Training Center visited the Eco-Tech Training Center to follow-up alumni who followed their women’s life improvement training courses organized by JICA and OISCA. During the visit, they interviewed alumni to confirm the achievements and held a seminar for updating new technologies. OISCA hopes that their techniques will spread all over the regions after the certification of the training center and the follow up of alumni.
