OISCA Karanganyar Training Center Mulyono Herlambang established this Training Center with the cooperation of his colleagues and friends 15 years ago, after receiving OISCA training in Japan. He also serves as an agricultural extension worker for the Provincial Office and works for the benefit of local farmers. The Karanganyar Training Center has 1.3 hectares of land, which includes rice fields, horticulture, vegetable cultivation and other crops. |

| Training
at the Center aims to develop technical skills, as well as farm management.
The Training Center usually has a low admittance rate due to high demand.
Thus, the selection of the trainees is made according to strict criteria
and procedures. The trainees admitted to the program display high morale,
and enthusiastically grapple with tasks in the program. Technique training
is also done smoothly, however, at times there are financial difficulties.
The Center receives many groups of visitors wishing to learn from Mulyono,
since the Center is considered one of the best training programs in OISCA.
In 2001, Mulyono received an Indonesian Presidential Citation for his work. In the Agriculture Expo, co-organized by Regency of Karanganyar and OISCA Karanganyar T.C. in June 2004, MGA(a nursery company run by Mulyono) celebrated its success in producing new variety of vegetable seeds. |
