Sri Lanka Chapter

Sri Lanka office organizes Environmental Awareness Seminars for Children's Forest Programs(CFP) participating schools, local people and OISCA members. In addition, the Office runs the nursery development projects to raise tree saplings for the CFP at Wariyapola, Tispane, Welmada and Anuradhapura.

The Office has Solid Waste Management Project, supported by the Japan Environment Council. Through this Project, the Office donates buckets for cleaning the environment to motivate people to recycle. The following government offices also took part in this Project: Ministry of Women's Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka Open University, Timber Cooperation, Forest Department, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industries, Ministry of Land. The Office also coordinates the Training Program for OISCA ex-trainees and OISCA Randenigala members, in cooperation with the Wild Life Trust Sri Lanka. The Office also actively pursues meetings with VIPs, including politicians to brief them about OISCA methods.
